2007 CPHA Child/Adult Specifications

CPHA Child/Adult Medal
This class is open to child and adult riders who have never won any PCHA, USEF or National medal class, hunter and or jumper class with fences 3’3” or higher at any rated horse show. Riders may not compete if they have won any association medal finals with fences 3'3" or higher. Trainers and riders must be members of CPHA prior to competing in any qualifying class. The class will be held over a 3’ course with a minimum of eight fences with at least two changes of direction and a combination. At least two riders shall work off using USEF tests1-9. A minimum of two riders must complete the course. Three (3) points qualifies for the finals. Two entries to fill the class and two to complete the course.

Points for 5 or more riders: 6-4-3-2-1

4-3-2-1 for 4 riders

3-2-1 for 3 riders

Finals:

First and Second Rounds
The class will be held over a 3' course with a minimum of eight fences with at least two changes of direction. There will be two rounds with scores announced for each round and averaged together for the final score. All riders will return for round two in the reverse order of go. The top four riders from rounds 1 and 2 and anyone within 3 points of the leader shall work off using USEF Eq. Tests 1-9. The work-off score will not be announced. Riders will ride for ribbons and awards first thru tenth and a victory gallop. There will be two judges (when available) who may sit together during the work off only. In each round there will be a specified call judge to break any ties for ribbons.

If you have won in any of the following medal classes you may not ride in any qualifying Child-Adult class or the Finals.

There is to be no contact between exhibitor or trainer to either the judges or the course designer prior to or at the conclusion of any round without the specified technical delegate or show steward present.
